Kviberg Cemetery, Gothenburg
The New Zealand Embassy together with the Australian Embassy will hold the main ANZAC Day ceremony as usual at the Commonwealth War Graves Section at Kviberg Cemetery in Gothenburg at 1100 hrs. Following the ceremony there will be a reception at Palmhuset, Trädgårdsföreningen (entrance via Slussgatan or Nya Allén).

Öckerö Gamla Kyrka
A commemoration ceremony will be held at Öckerö Gamla Kyrka churchyard, where New Zealand airman Sgt John Williams, RNZAF, is buried. The ceremony will start at 1600 hrs

Anzac Cup will be held at 29:th of april at Täby Galopp. First race at 12.45, The Anzac Cup between 14.00-14.30.
Anzac guests have free entry to the track, just say ANZAC Cup in the gate.

ANZAC Day, 25 April 2011

The New Zealand Embassy would like to extend a cordial invitation to you and your families to attend ANZAC day 2011 ceremonies in Gothenburg on 25 April.
A commemoration ceremony will be held at the Öckerö Gamla Kyrka churchyard, where New Zealand airman Sgt John Williams, RNZAF is buried. The ceremony will start at 1230 hrs and will be held by the New Zealand Embassy and Öckerö Gamla Kyrka.

ANZAC DAY DINNER

Anzac Day dinner is organised by the Mirrabooka Club in Göteborg.
Our Annual Anzac Day dinner this year will be at the River Cafe again (same place as last year). Menu’s are being put together right now, so get your RSVP in asap. The Ambassadors from both the Australian Embassy and the New Zealand Embassy will be there this year and we will do the usual ‘move around’ thing so that everyone gets a chance to mingle.

Anzac Cup 2011

Please join us again at Täby Galopp for the great tradition of ANZAC Day horse racing.
The racing tradition began in Belgium 1919 after the the New Zealand and Australian troops joined together as a commonwealth force during the 1st world war in 1915.

This day is to celebrate those who served protecting their families and their nations, it’s a day for friendship and sharing with people from all around the world. A great day of racing that will include official pre-race cermony with government and military representatives.

The Liffey’s ANZAC Day Eve party is on Easter Sunday from 1900.
Including: Aussie and Kiwi classic tunes all night long, pies, Aussie and Kiwi Beers, raffles and much more!
50kr entrance fee with percentage of funds going to support the RSA, RSL and Christchurch relief fund!
